It all started out so promising. I went through multiple rounds of interviews and felt like everything was going smoothly. I was excited about the opportunity and felt confident in my abilities. However, things took a turn for the worse when I suddenly became ghosted by the company. I tried to reach out and follow up, but all my emails went unanswered. I was left in the dark, feeling frustrated and unsure of what had happened. I wanted to know why they stopped communicating with me, and what I could do to improve my chances. A month went by, and I still hadn't received a response. I decided to escalate the situation and sent an email to a C-level individual within the company, who never actually got back to me. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth. The company could have easily avoided this situation by simply responding to my emails and keeping me in the loop. Instead, they left me feeling ignored and disrespected. Would not recommend the process at all.

I applied online and got an initial video call screen with one of the designers. They asked about my background and then immediately gave me a design challenge to create a motion piece within a few days, which felt like a lot of work for just a challenge. After submitting the challenge, I had a panel interview where they reviewed my portfolio and the motion graphic. It felt like I mostly spoke to one person, and the others seemed disengaged. I haven't heard back since the panel, and my follow-up email went unanswered. I felt they didn't respect my time and effort, especially given the design challenge.

Applied online for this junior visual designer role, and after a few weeks, I went through a pretty intensive process. It started with a video call screen with the talent acquisition rep, who was nice. Then, the team lead I spoke to was late for the first interview, and some of my questions, like about salary, weren't answered. Right after that, I had to do a design challenge, where I was given a week to make a motion piece and document my process. The materials and scope felt a bit limited, but I had a lot of creative freedom. A couple of days after submitting, I had a panel interview to review my portfolio. The vibe in both this and the first meeting wasn't great; I felt like I was just being told what they thought I wanted to hear, and nobody seemed enthusiastic. It's possible I'm misreading it, but that's the impression I got. I was supposed to have a final interview with the CEO, but I withdrew because I got another offer.

It took a while to get a response because there were so many applicants. The process was pretty standard. First, a coding challenge, then an interview, and finally a non-technical chat. Just be patient and stick with it.
