After an initial chat with HR and a PM, I got called back for a second round. I had to do a SWOT analysis on Miele's market standing and present it to the whole product team. It was a straightforward process, and the team was really professional, honest, and friendly. We talked about the job in detail, covering all the good and bad points.

Behavioral Presentation

They first had an open house interview at their showroom in Beverly Hills, so I just walked in. It went really well, and I was surprised there weren't more people there given the company's great reputation. I was excited for the second interview. The interviewers were nice and asked general questions about my background and suitability for the role. In the second interview, I had to do a demo of selling to both an end-user and a skeptical retailer. Overall, it was a pretty straightforward process. I was really hoping for an offer, and unfortunately didn't get one, though they said it was a tough decision and I was an impressive candidate.

Behavioral Technical

I had a panel interview with the Store Manager and the Regional Sales Director at a new Miele showroom. They offered me a drink and let me fill out a handwritten application in a quiet spot. They even stayed past closing to work around my retail schedule, which was awesome and made me feel really confident. We had a good conversation for about 30 minutes after the usual questions. I was left hanging for almost a month though, with the recruiter not getting back to me. I called the store manager after two weeks, and she said the recruiter would call soon. Two more weeks passed before I got the rejection email.
