It was an HR interview, then a manager interview. After that, there was a code sample, followed by a PR discussion. Ultimately, I was rejected and they ghosted me. The code was open-ended, so there were no limits on expectations. They provided a simple application but expected it to be robust and super secure, like a banking application.

The process was a quick phone call, then an in person interview with the HR person and my future manager. It was pretty laid back and they gave me a short tour of the place.

The interview process was a bit different for this company. Initially, an external person assessed my skills over the phone. Once they gave the green light, the hiring team set up an in-person group interview. Back then, they seemed more focused on hiring me than anything else, but I doubt that's still the case.

The interviewer was nice and went over key things about the company. It was a 30-minute call, broken into three parts. First, the interviewer talked about the company, then asked me about my resume and past experience, and finally, I got to ask my questions.
