We started with a questionnaire that asked some questions about drug use. Then I had a chat with someone in the department. They mentioned I'd get more details about the position via email, but I never did. I emailed the person I interviewed with and got ghosted. It felt really unprofessional and like my time wasn't valued.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter reached out, and I set up an on-site interview with the plant controller. On the interview day, the controller called to reschedule. When I arrived, the office was very casual, with everyone in jeans and t-shirts. I filled out a standard application and consent form. Then, I had a 30-minute 1-on-1 interview. The controller mentioned I had more experience than others and seemed confident I'd succeed. He said they had a few more interviews and would decide within a week. I sent a thank you note. After 10 days with no word, I left a message for the controller, who never called back. I then contacted HR at headquarters. Three days later, I got a rejection letter stating they were still searching. I suspect they wanted someone fresh out of college for minimal pay, given the controller's initial feedback.

The supervisor interviewing me for the Countertop Assembly production role was unprofessional. Upon arrival, I heard him complaining about another employee. When he finally came to interview me, he immediately judged my work history and seemed amused by my frequent job changes. He also criticized the main building's recruiters, saying they didn't know what they were talking about and worked long hours. He then complained about dealing with call-ins, which he said dictated his day and where he assigned people. He sounded very unhappy, making me not want to feel that way.

I had a phone call that was behavioral to start, then an in-person interview where I was asked to do fizzbuzz. I also had to talk about my history. The interviewers were my manager and an HR person. It felt like a pretty standard developer interview.
