First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Midtronics.
Talent Manager
I had a great interview experience with Midtronics. The process was efficient and well-organized. It began with phone interviews with the HR Manager and HR Director, which provided me with a good overview of the company and the role. After that, I was invited onsite to meet with several executives. The onsite interview was professional yet conversational, and I appreciated how respectful everyone was of my time. I heard back with a decision by the end of that same week, which showed how communicative and decisive their process is. Overall, it was a smooth and positive experience that reflected well on the company’s culture.
- How do you cross-collaborate with multiple departments?
Senior Mechanical Engineer
I had a phone screening for about 30 minutes. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager for roughly an hour. After that, there was an in-person interview that lasted 4 hours. The in-person part had several rounds: first with the second-in-command, then with a coworker, then with the hiring manager again, and finally with the CEO of the company.
- Can you share some of your past experiences?
- Describe how you would approach troubleshooting certain issues in our industry.
Senior Buyer
I spoke with HR first, and that was a pretty standard screening. Then I had a call with a director on the team. Honestly, the director didn't seem to know what they were really looking for if the role was already filled. They mentioned needing a senior buyer but seemed to be really after someone with strong analytics and technical skills. It felt a bit like a waste of time if you don't have that specific background they were looking for, and they should have been clearer about it from the start.
- Can you tell me about your background based on your resume?
- Do you have a strong technical background?
- Are you able to assist with analytics?
PC/Network Technician
The hiring timeline lasted roughly three weeks. After submitting my application, HR reached out via phone to discuss my resume and schedule a video interview with the IT director using WebEx. This video call focused on my past experiences from school and previous jobs. Following that, HR contacted me again to arrange an in-person meeting. During the in-person interview, I had a brief technical assessment and then spoke with several other managers who asked typical non-technical questions. I also got a tour of the facility. The offer came the very next day.
- Can you explain how to connect a computer to an Active Directory domain?
