The process isn't always the same. Usually, HR does a behavioral interview. Then you'll meet with the hiring manager, and sometimes a panel interview. Depending on the level, you might also interview with a senior manager or an executive. This whole thing can take a while, like weeks or even months.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had a phone chat soon after applying, about a week later. HR was great and explained the job well. We talked about my background and some service-related scenarios. The next week, I got asked for an in-person meeting, set for the following week. Met with the manager and assistant manager. It felt formal at first, but they made it relaxed. Good people, easy to talk to, and the interview was enjoyable while covering the important stuff. A week after that, I had a final chat with the regional manager. It was more official, but we ended up having a good talk about the company and why it's a great place to work.

Behavioral Technical

I had previously applied to a different department, but this role eventually became the final one. Each time I applied and got contacted, interviews were scheduled. There were three interviews: a phone screen, a face-to-face meeting, and a final interview with the department manager and supervisor. It was a bit challenging because they really make you take your time to answer. I had to be patient and allow myself to answer each question thoughtfully. I made sure to ask questions about the role, company, and interview process after each interview to show my interest.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I was an intern first, then got hired full-time. The first two parts were a phone call and a written test for technical and creative writing skills. The HR call was super helpful about the job and Midland States Bank overall. They asked about my goals and experience to see if I'd be a good fit for the company culture, and if it was a good fit for me too. Then I had a face-to-face meeting with the marketing manager and director. They asked about my previous work, my work ethic, and my ability to collaborate with a team that has different responsibilities.
