Great relationships with professors allow many research opportunities! I really loved my time at Middlebury and could not have enjoyed my academic endeavors more. The challenging coursework, collaborative projects, and supportive community not only deepened my knowledge but also fueled my passion for learning. These experiences have truly shaped my dedication to academic growth and prepared me thoroughly for professional endeavors.

After applying, I heard back in under two weeks. We started with a phone chat that included technical terms, problem-solving, and some questions about my personality. Then, I had an in-person meeting with a few team folks. This part was mostly a bunch of super-fast problem-solving questions, like, to see how I'd do under pressure, how I'd explain something tricky to someone who doesn't know tech using just a laptop and whiteboard, and also, I think, to check if my vibe fit with Middlebury. They wrapped up the in-person interviews pretty fast, and I got the job offer about a week after that second interview.

It kicked off with an online panel interview with folks from the department. They asked stuff about my teaching ideas and how I teach. Then, when I visited campus, I didn't meet with the whole committee, but instead had meetings with the dean and other professors. I also had to do a 30-60 minute teaching demo that I could cover any topic for.

It was supposed to be a 30 minute interview, but it was actually a 10 minute part with 2 questions, followed by a Q&A where I could ask questions. The interviewer was writing things down to share with the Admissions office. Sometimes, I had to repeat my answer to be clearer.
