Marketing Coordinator
I had a conversation with the Director of the Creative Services Department. She was very nice and seemed authentic. She described her department in detail and its upcoming plans. She also outlined what they were seeking in a candidate.

Communications Manager
I interviewed with the dean for 1 hour then the second round was with their full team for 3 hours. I was asked questions that assessed my character, decision making, critical thinking, and leadership. I had a mock project to complete and was asked my thoughts on how to achieve an initiative.

Teacher
The interview process can feel like navigating unfamiliar waters. It's a chance to showcase your skills and experiences to potential employers. Preparation is key, so researching the company and practicing your responses can boost your confidence. Remember to engage with the interviewers and ask thoughtful questions to demonstrate your interest. At the end of the day, present yourself authentically and let your qualifications shine through.
- Could you tell me about your previous experience?
Academic Advisor
My interview experience was not what I expected at all. I was under the assumption that I would only be interviewing with three people and then walked into a conference room with a six-person interview panel. It was clear that some members of the hiring team had not taken the time to review my resume ahead of time based on the questions they asked and they just pulled the most basic interview questions for the position from a Google search. Worst of all, the way some members of the team spoke about their students was downright horrendous. I cannot imagine what would posses an academic advisor to call their students "dumb" in front of a complete stranger. Also, the way they spoke about students of color really did not sit right with me and made me extremely uncomfortable - it was thinly veiled racism and a huge red flag. The main hiring manager told me I would receive an update within the week regarding the position and it took much longer than that to receive the form rejection email, which was completely impersonal; I really didn't appreciate that the hiring manager didn't take the time to email candidates himself. I am grateful to have not received an offer because if this team felt this comfortable being this unprofessional during an interview, I cannot imagine what it would be like to work with them day-in and day-out.
- What would you do if a student arrived late for their appointment?
