First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mid America Clinical Laboratories.
Medical Technologist
applied online and then received an email to schedule an interview. The interview itself was quite short, with limited questions and little opportunity for me to ask my own. Ultimately, I was extended a job offer, though for a different role than the one I initially applied for.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Logistics Service Representative
I put my application in online after my doctor suggested it because he said it was a solid company. Then I got an email from HR about the interview time and date. The interview happened in a conference room with an HR rep, the Logistics Manager, and the Logistics Lead present.
- Tell me about your attention to detail, especially when handling bio-hazard materials.
Medical Logistics Courier
The online application was straightforward if you had your work history and skills ready. My first interview was with HR, and it went well; maybe it helped that a doctor who uses their lab services agreed to be a reference. I then had a second interview with two middle managers and got the job offer. It took about two weeks to finish all the necessary tests, screenings, and shots before I could start.
- Do you have experience using barcoding equipment, as it's used in daily processing of patient specimens?
Laboratory Assistant
The interview process was pretty simple. I spoke with the department manager, who was really nice and made me feel comfortable. They showed me around the lab, and I got to ask about specific tests, safety stuff, and what employees do day-to-day.
- What are your long-term career goals in the next 5 years?
- Can you describe your prior work history and experience?
- Are you comfortable with performing repetitive tasks?
