First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MicroPort Orthopedics.
Post Market Surveillance Engineer
I had a 6-hour interview with various team members. They asked basic behavioral questions and some questions about my past experience. We did a quick walkthrough of different work areas and I met some associates. I was referred by a manager I had previously interviewed with for another role. The process started with a phone screen with the direct manager, followed by an in-person interview. The whole thing took about three weeks. After the interview, I didn't hear back from the manager or HR, even after I tried reaching out via calls and emails. I'm not even sure what happened.
- Could you explain your reasoning for pursuing a Post Market Surveillance role over an R&D position?
Manufacturing Associate
Started with a phone screen with project managers. Then, I had an onsite interview where I met with project managers from different teams. They asked me about my experience, education, and some task-specific things. I also got a tour of the manufacturing facilities. The questions were pretty tough, covering mechanical processes, manufacturing processes, and CAD drawings. So, it's important to be ready with your basic engineering principles and prepared for task-specific questions.
- What suggestions do you have for improving our company?
Human Resources Specialist
The interview experience was very good, and the HR person was very professional. They asked a lot of questions and also introduced the company and related projects in detail. I want to join this company because the HR department is quite large and provides very professional services to employees.
- Can you introduce your work?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
Product Development Engineer
It was a full day interview with several managers and team members. We talked about my experiences and they asked technical and behavioral questions based on what I said. There was also a team lunch and a chat with HR.
- Can you tell me about the best project you've completed?
- Describe how you would handle a conflict situation.
- What was the most difficult aspect of a specific project you worked on?
