Software Engineer
If you are already employed, this is a waste of time. It's awful and uses AI throughout. Sometimes, when you pause to speak, the AI considers your answer incomplete. After the AI part, you face a challenge. While the challenge itself might be okay, they require your code to be in a specific Big O notation. Given this company isn't FAANG and you don't know the salary or other details, I just closed the browser. This was a major red flag for me, so I realized I wasted my time and went back to my work.
- Questions about React reconciliation
- Questions about React Context
- Basic questions about NodeJs
Software Engineer
I think this might be a scam to train AI, especially since that's what they're building. You have to do an interview with an AI, and it's the worst kind of interview. The questions seem like they're based on the AI reading documentation and testing you on it, looking for a specific answer. These are things a normal dev would just Google or look up in the docs when they need to. Since they're looking for a wide range of tech, they'll also ask you about details for everything from AWS to React to Typescript.
- Can you explain typescript utility types and the reasons for using them?
- What is the difference between useMemo and useContext, and in which situations would you use each?
Software Engineer
The interview process consisted of two steps. The first was an AI-based test with behavioral and technical questions, which I found to be an innovative and productive way to screen candidates initially. The second round focused on technical aspects, involving solving a medium-level DSA question and some basic questions about the candidate's technical skills. They allocated about 20 minutes for the DSA problem, and the interviewer was helpful and provided guidance while I coded and discussed my approach.
- Can you find all unique combinations of k numbers, using only digits 1 through 9 (each at most once), that sum up to n?
- Solve a medium difficulty Data Structures and Algorithms problem.
- Answer some basic questions related to your technical skills.
