First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Micro1.
AI/ML Engineer
I applied online and got a video interview that used AI to ask technical and behavioral questions. It was about 20 mins. Then, I had a live technical interview with an engineer where I had to build a small project.
- Could you build a small project in your preferred IDE and explain your approach?
Machine Learning Engineer
AI recruiter conducted the interview. Despite answering all questions correctly and providing optimized code that passed all test cases for the algorithm and data structures portion, I was rejected without a valid reason. The interview included technical questions and a coding round, totaling about 60 minutes.
- Can you discuss concepts in distributed computing?
- Do you have knowledge of Python?
- Are you familiar with PyTorch?
LLM Engineer
It started with a GPT vetting, which had questions for the position, but most were irrelevant and badly written. Then, there was an interviewer who didn't seem to have much LLM or RAG experience and asked generic questions along with a Leetcode problem. Finally, there's a client interview.
- What are the basics related to LLM?
- What are the basics related to RAG?
