The interview involves an AI agent who will conduct the entire interview based on the skills you've selected. You need to disable secondary displays, enable your camera, and share your screen, explaining your answers out loud. The speaking part is about 25 minutes long, and there's a coding task that takes around 20 minutes. Keep in mind that the questions aren't overly complex but are quite general, so you'll need to provide comprehensive answers. If your answers are too brief, the AI might think you don't know the topic well. Don't expect any leading questions. After each answer, you'll get brief feedback, which makes the whole process feel more relaxed and supportive. You can ask for clarification on a question before you start answering. Any pause of over 2 seconds while you're answering will be interpreted as you finishing your response.
- Can you explain controlled and uncontrolled components in React, and how to manage state for forms?
- Regarding NodeJS, what is the event loop and how do you handle global errors?
- For REST APIs, what are the strategies for API versioning, securing endpoints, and implementing pagination?

The process is very straightforward. I have interviewed with lots of staffing firms, but micro1 is different. They go straight to the point, they even shared a document to help me prepare better for their technical round. This was very new to me.
- They give you advice on the things to focus on prior to the interview. If you prepare, you'll scale through.

First you have a chat with a recruiter to talk about your experience and stuff. Then, there's an AI interview where an AI asks you some tech questions related to your tech stack, and you have a set amount of time to record your answers verbally. The last part is a full tech interview with an actual person.
