I interviewed with an AI. The AI assistant was really positive, but it felt weird talking to it. I felt rushed. Good thing is, I can retake the interview in 30 days or try again immediately with new skills. That's pretty helpful.

Behavioral Technical Coding

So first, I had this quick 7-minute AI interview where I had to answer some technical and behavioral questions out loud. Then, there was a 25-minute coding task, like a hands-on thing to check my backend skills. The whole thing was proctored, so they watched me with the camera and mic and screen share.

Confirmed questions1 question

It was a technical interview that covered a lot of ground. They asked about FastAPI, including its dependencies, asynchronous operations, multi-threading, and multi-processing. We also discussed scaling a production FastAPI application, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic and typings, middlewares, and then moved on to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and security pipelines.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe dependency injection in the context of FastAPI?
  • Could you explain what CICD pipelines are and how they function in GitLab?
