Teacher
The interview process was quite straightforward and unremarkable. The interviewer was very friendly and inquired about my teaching methods and past work history. It was good to have that discussion, although I don't think the role exists anymore.
- Can you describe your experience?
- What is your approach to teaching?
- What was your previous experience like?
Web Developer
The interview process included a video interview, and I was also given a list of 75 essential and trending problems. This list is a must-do for interview prep and is best for about 1 to 3 months of preparation time. They repeated this information about the 75 problems several times.
- How are you today.
ESL Teacher
I received an offer a few weeks ago, but some things went wrong. I uploaded all my essential paperwork, but then issues arose when it was time to install WeChat. WeChat is a terrible application; it doesn't work for many US-based teachers, and the verification system is broken, trapping me in a verification loop. I emailed support multiple times over three weeks with no response. The recruiter at iBestTeacher tried to help, but it didn't work on her end either. Krystal Chen tried her best, but WeChat still doesn't work for me. After days passed without a solution, she offered me a position with another company that only provides 2 hours of work daily, which is insufficient. I'm completely frustrated and done with Micro. It's a shame because I was close to starting. If you're a China-based tutoring site, avoid WeChat. If you're a US-based teacher, don't go through Micro. My recruiter tried, but ultimately, I had to find work elsewhere. If you want to waste your time, go ahead.
- Can you tell me about your typical experience and qualifications?
Online English Teacher
It was a really good multi-stage interview process. We started with an initial Skype chat, then moved on to a mock class. I actually got two tries at the mock class, and they gave me some really clear and helpful feedback after the first one to help me improve for the next time. The interviewer for the mock class was great and made me feel super comfortable.
- Tell me about your teaching experience.
