First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Micro Center.
Warehouse Associate
It was a pretty standard interview for a warehouse position, with general questions about my availability, my interest in Microcenter, and any limitations I might have with lifting objects. No hard questions, which was nice.
- Why Microcenter?
- Do you have any issues lifting objects?
- Can you lift up to 30 pounds by yourself?
Warehouse Associate
I talked to the inventory manager, he immediately gave me some tests. First, an IQ test where I had to do as many logic questions as possible in 12 minutes. Then a morals test, and after that a computer knowledge test that felt like A+ certification stuff. I chatted with the manager again, he asked me a few things, then his supervisor gave me the okay. I passed the drug test (urine) and background check. It was really straightforward.
- What's the reason you decided to apply for a job at Micro Center?
- If you had the option to work in any department within the store, which one would you choose?
Warehouse Associate
Applied online. Got a call the next day for a quick phone interview with general questions. Then I was invited for an in-store interview with the warehouse manager the following week. Had a brief one-on-one, discussed the job details and if I was interested. I accepted, so I took some timed behavior/skill assessments. I have to go back next week for a second meeting, which I think is for paperwork and a drug test application. The whole experience was pretty smooth.
- Can you work from 7 AM or stay until 10:30 PM, as these are the warehouse stock days Monday through Thursday?
