Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Micro Center.
Sales Representative
I had a one-on-one interview that went really well and they hired me right away. Usually, they do group interviews which can be tough for some people. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd do it again.
- Do you have previous sales experience?
Sales Representative
First, there's a video submission that's super easy. After that, you come in for two in-person interviews: one with a manager/supervisor and another with the general manager. The questions are generally easy. You'll also have 3 computer tests, and one of them is really outdated tech. But if you pass at least 2 out of the 3 tests, you're good. If they like you, they'll set you up for a drug test.
- What are your expectations for the role and what growth opportunities do you see?
- Which department are you most interested in joining?
- Can you describe your past sales experience?
Sales Supervisor
It's a straightforward interview process. If you're a qualified candidate, you'll first meet with the RSM (Retail Sales Manager) and GM (General Manager). After that, you'll take a test and then have a final interview with the Regional Manager. The questions might differ if you're not a current employee, but if you focus on store appearance and understanding cycle counts for inventory, you should be good.
- In what ways would your approach differ from that of the former manager?
