I found the job posting on a professional website and applied directly to the professor who posted it. About a month later, I had a phone interview with them where we discussed my research history and accomplishments. At the end of the call, I was asked to provide three references. Roughly three weeks after that, I received a call offering me the position. The offer took about two months to finalize because a key person needed to sign it was on vacation.
