The Zoom interview was helpful and set clear expectations about my responsibilities and the benefits. The staff were welcoming and showed genuine interest in what I wanted to learn. I was a returning intern from the campaign side at that time.

The interview was really good at explaining what the internship role would involve and the different opportunities. It felt more like a relaxed chat than a super stressful interview. The person interviewing me seemed very experienced and handled the conversation smoothly, answering questions directly.

The interview process is pretty laid back and not intimidating. Obviously, this can differ depending on who you're interviewing with. It's beneficial to have some experience in the field, and a prior internship is almost always a must. You should definitely be ready to discuss your views on various topics. I'd suggest looking into the representative and their positions beforehand.

The hiring process here is pretty messy and not really set up in any standard way. Honestly, a lot of the people interviewing seem just as likely to hire their waitress from Troppo as they are someone qualified for the staff role. Hiring decisions often seem pretty random and are really based on who you know and other... social... connections.
