We did a bunch of interviews over the phone and then with the branch managers to make sure you'd fit in with the team. Even though you interviewed in one spot, you might get placed at a different branch depending on how well the manager thinks you'll mesh with their team and find the most success.

The interview process had 4 steps. It kicked off with a 30-minute phone interview with the VP of HR, followed by another 30-minute phone interview with the VP of Virtual Services. Then, there was an in-person interview with both VPs that lasted an hour. The final step was an in-person interview with the CEO, which was about 45 minutes long. Everything was very professional, as expected from a financial institution. If I had moved forward, the next step would have been a personality test.

The interview process started with a phone interview. After that, I had an in-person interview where I met with two managers and an HR generalist, all separately. The overall interview experience was good, but the downside was that even though I had the required and preferred qualifications and experience, they offered me the lowest pay rate. When I tried to negotiate the salary, they rescinded their offer, which was fine, but it made it clear to me that MFCU wasn't the right place for me. So, a note to self: if applying at MFCU and offered a position, don't try to negotiate, no matter how much expertise you have in the field.
