So I was a temp there and wanted to go permanent, but they already had two candidates picked out and hadn't even considered me. One was a good talker but lacked relevant experience, and the other was dating a current employee. I even had to help review their applications with the permanent staff, and then they were like, 'thanks for your help.' My agency manager was baffled. While they were trying to figure out how to legally hire their preferred person, I threw my hat in the ring just in case, and they actually reconsidered me. Since I knew everyone and the job inside out, it was pretty straightforward from there.

I applied through LinkedIn with a cover letter and my profile info. I got an email 3hrs later telling me to schedule for an interview. I went in 2 days later. The interview was very unstructured. She did not ask me many questions. She just kind of talked about what they do and what it is like working there. She asked me very simple questions like "tell me about yourself" and "what's your schedule like". The whole time it felt like we were just having a normal conversation. She would always look down at the table when talking and would look at me when I answered. It was the strangest interview I have ever been to.

The interview process went pretty smooth. I had a phone interview and was asked about my experience and skills. I was then invited to an in person interview. I was pretty much told what the HR Manager needed from me and the daily roles of the position. I wasn't really asked any questions in regards to my skills or experience. The in person interview lasted about 10-15 minutes. It took a week for her to get back to me with a decision.

Had a phone chat with HR first. If that went well, they might send over a case study test or some more work. If I passed that, then I had an interview with the creative director.
