I met with the VP of Property Management to chat about potential opportunities with their company at their nice offices. A mutual friend referred me. This was the first interview, it lasted an hour. They want to fill the role in 2-3 weeks and need me to meet the on-site property manager. The VP left a message for the property manager to set up a meeting in 2 days. The next day I got an email saying there was a recent development and they were holding off on filling the position. They said their business changes daily and if they change their mind, they'd call me back.

I applied for this job twice in 5 months and they always say they will call me back when they have an opening. It's strange if they don't have a job to offer, why waste people's time with an interview? But the same jobs keep reposting. You drive an hour to get there and it takes 10 minutes to ask the same basic questions. I think this is not right. Has anyone had the same experience?
