Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MFS.
Intern
The interview was mostly behavioral questions, no technical stuff. They asked 'tell me about a time when?' and 'How would solve x issue?'. They wanted to see if I'm a team player and eager to learn. They also stressed presentation and communication skills. I was asked to highlight any tech experience I have.
- Can you describe a successful presentation you've delivered?
Co-Op
The interview process involved several questions about your abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. It seemed difficult to prove yourself when you didn't attend Northeastern, which they believe produces the best students (they are wrong about that). It was extremely challenging compared to other co-op interviews; it felt like you were questioned for every answer you gave.
- Tell me about a time you were successful.
- Tell me about a time you failed.
Intern
It was one round with two interviewers, and it wasn't too hard, mostly just a chat. They asked me about 3 questions related to my past experiences, my motivation for applying to this company, and my skill set.
- Could you tell us about yourself and your experiences?
- What prompted your interest in working with us?
- Can you describe your skills?
