First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mews.
Business Development Representative
The interview process was great, with good conversations with leadership who genuinely wanted to know about me, my background, and why I was interested in becoming a Mewser. I particularly enjoyed the creative aspect of making loom videos.
- What makes you want to work at Mews?
- Why are you interested in SAAS sales?
Business Development Representative
I applied for a Business Development Representative job in the UK because I heard Mews has a great culture. I sent my CV and cover letter on Oct 25th. A week later, I had to submit a 1-minute video within 3 days, which I did. Another week went by and I was scheduled for a Teams interview with the BDR lead. But the day before, I got an email saying they don't sponsor visas and I couldn't proceed. I told them I have a graduate visa that lets me work in the UK for 2 years without sponsorship, but they didn't reply until I followed up. They then confirmed their decision briefly. I sent another email giving feedback and saying how I felt about the poor communication, but still no reply. I get that policies differ, but cancelling my application so late without clear communication felt unprofessional. I'd spent time preparing for the interview and had high hopes because of Mews' good reputation. This lack of transparency didn't match the 'people-first' culture they're known for.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in this position?
Business Development Representative
I heard back really fast after applying and got an interview set up pretty quickly. First, I chatted with the lead recruiter, who was really nice and made the conversation easy. Then I had an interview with the BDR lead, which was also good and let me ask a bunch of questions about what the job is like. The last part involved doing a small task and talking through it, where they mainly wanted to see if I was open to feedback. Everyone was super friendly throughout. After the final interview, they said I'd hear back in about two days. I got an email to schedule a call with the first recruiter to go over 'next steps,' and that's when they offered me the job.
- How do you handle having a lot on your plate?
