Had a phone screen with a recruiter, and then a one-hour virtual technical interview with the team. The recruiter didn't seem to know the contract length or what qualifications the person interviewing me had. They called me about a contract that they weren't sure would last more than a month.

The hiring process started off really smooth and fast. However, after the last interview, it took weeks to get a rejection. A red flag was when the recruiter said they hire quickly if they like a candidate and don't interview just to have many options. They said, "If our gut feeling is good and we like the candidate for both team fit and technical skills, we will get them started as soon as possible." My experience was the opposite, even though I thought I did well and answered everything correctly. It's fine to reject someone, but it was unprofessional that I got no response to emails I sent to the manager and recruiter.

I was pretty bummed out by this company and how they communicated and their broken process. I went through an interview, then a second one, and then they just ghosted me for a month. Their communication is bad, their management style is bad, and as a recruiting manager, they should totally get how important feedback and quick turnaround times are. Plus, I tried to follow up by email and phone and they just ignored me. I was actually excited to join them after the second interview, but they are definitely not on my radar anymore. The recruiting world is small, and a bad impression with a recruiter really sticks!

I applied for this role through monster.com with metrostar systems. A recruiter called me to do a phone screen and tell me more about the job and the company. After that, the recruiter set up an in-person meeting at their office. The interview lasted about 1.5 to 2 hours where I spoke with three project managers one-on-one for 30 minutes each. They asked me situational and open-ended questions. The team was really professional and nice, but I didn't hear back about their decision.
