A panel of three lead engineers conducted the interview, asking standard questions about engineering skills and work availability. It started with a review of my education and some personal questions about my knowledge of NYC and its metro system. Then, we discussed my engineering abilities and potential work flexibility. Because this job can involve unpredictable work, they asked a lot of questions to see if I'd be okay with working in the field during non-standard hours. The interview concluded with me asking them questions.
