The directions were easy, and I was met at the entrance. The atmosphere was very professional. They asked great technical questions. It was a panel interview with two people from the IT leadership team and HR. All three asked a variety of questions.

I was contacted by Airport HR. I was given directions for parking and instructed to review the Airport's Core Values on their webpage. My contact advised me to be ready to discuss these values. I was told that if I passed the initial three-person panel interview, I would immediately proceed to a second interview on the same day. If hired, I would undergo a drug screening and sign a one-year employment contract based on performance. The panel consisted of a customer service director, a police captain, and a maintenance assistant director. Each interviewer presented a core value and asked two behavioral questions. After the interview, I was escorted to the lobby to await the decision. About 10 minutes later, another HR representative took me to a large conference room where I was informed I did not pass the initial interview and would not advance in the hiring process.

The HR/Talent acquisition office was hard to get a hold of. I got a call about an interview, tried to reach out many times without much luck to set up an interview. After finally getting one set up, I was offered the job. The problem I had with the offer is that it was roughly 30% less than the posted salary range. Well below what the average rate for our industry in the area. I was told that the overtime pay would help make up the difference. Overall, I was very disappointed with the lack of clarity going into the interview.

After applying I got an email from HR asking me to complete a long questionnaire before the next step. This was different than what was advertised. The HR person CC’d everyone, so I could see other applicants. The questionnaire was detailed and took hours, questions that should have been face-to-face. I submitted it and never heard back. It seemed unprofessional and disorganized.
