The interview process was great. I really liked it and the interviewers were nice and engaging. There were several stages, including aptitude tests and one-on-one interviews focused on personal skills and experience.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process involved a day of unannounced tests. One was a high IQ test, which seemed to be a justification for their arrogance. Another was a verbal reasoning test, and then there was a basic code review challenge. Following that, I had an interview with a developer who asked if I would want to work in finance, even though it wasn't mentioned on my CV. He seemed quite upset that he didn't work in finance and came across as aggressive and socially awkward. It was also very noticeable that the office was predominantly male, which was off-putting, and the women present seemed to be in low-level admin roles, which was also quite off-putting. They appear to have a fascination with maths graduates. The HR representative called me afterward to mention they had recently rejected a PhD Physics graduate from Oxford for not meeting their hiring bar, and she seemed to take delight in sharing this information.

The interview process involved multiple stages, including NVQs, logic puzzles, system planning problems, and general competency interviews. After an online application, there was an in-person interview, followed by an overnight final interview. The entire process felt very fair, and I clearly understood what was being asked and the job expectations.

The interview process started with a 30-minute phone chat, then a longer 2-3 hour second interview that included a test. The final round was with the SVP. I was really close to getting the job, but they ended up choosing candidates with stronger technical backgrounds.
