First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Metals.com.
Account Executive
Main focus is your commitment level to success and previous sales experience. It is a little nerve wrecking, the sales floor is super fast paced and its huge. Lots of brokers and it is an aggressive environment and the interviewers are very serious about weeding out the best. Prepare.
- Have you ever worked in sales before?
Inside Sales Account Manager
It's a really unique interview process here! They're not really focused on industry standards but more on investing in people. They really want to see a can-do attitude and are willing to teach you how to be successful. The office culture is beautiful and competitive. The moment you walk in, you can sense the success.
- Who is your biggest sales influence on YouTube?
Broker
It was a tough interview process with some really challenging questions that kept me on my toes the whole time. They talked a lot about the potential for high earnings and what it takes to get there. The company seems really upbeat and modern. I'm excited about the possibility of succeeding in this role.
- What are your 10-year career goals?
Inside Sales Representative
The interviewer called and started a really weird questioning process. They said the call would be 10-15 minutes, but asked questions and cut me off during every answer. They didn't even say what company they were calling for until the very end. It was super unprofessional, especially since I've already worked in the industry and they were trying to make me feel clueless. Really rude.
- What makes you want to join this company?
