Office Assistant
I had a virtual interview that felt pretty chill. We talked about personal stuff and also some technical things. They didn't get back to me, but it was a smooth and good experience overall. It was a good chance to show what I can do and see how the company hires. Seems like a cool place to work.
- Could you describe your current job duties and what your responsibilities entail?
- In what ways have you helped your current company achieve success?
Fullstack Software Engineer
I found out about the job opening on a website that lists jobs for foreign companies hiring in Brazil. I applied, and about a week later, I was contacted for an interview with someone from HR. The interview was conducted entirely in English and included questions about technical experience, expertise in specific technologies, and more HR-like questions, such as asking me to describe five of my qualities.
- Can you describe five of your best qualities?

The hiring process lasted about five weeks, and all communication was via email in English. The HR team was very helpful and polite from the start, making the initial experience quite positive. The interviews were conducted on Zoom and split into two parts: The first was with HR to check my fit for the role. The second, called a 'technical interview,' mostly involved behavioral questions, not specific technical aspects of the job. Unfortunately, the last part wasn't very enjoyable because I couldn't highlight my technical skills. Also, some questions asked me to rate past work groups with A, B, or C without explaining what those ratings meant, which made the experience confusing and somewhat frustrating.
- What are 8 of your flaws and 8 of your strengths?
- What are your leaders' opinions on your strong and weak points?
- How would you rate the company you worked at upon joining and upon leaving, using A, B, or C?
Designer
The process itself wasn't bad, the stages are pretty common for the role. The questions in the interviews are extremely generic and common. The big problem was that throughout the whole process I made clear the minimum salary I was willing to accept. Until the last stage, an employee who had interviewed me sent me a message confirming this value I had requested, and a few days later another employee informed me that the company's offer was actually much lower than agreed upon. Besides all the emotional confusion and wasted time, since I had made my salary expectations clear, I could have even left my current job to go there before receiving the news of the offer reduction. It's an extremely disorganized and irresponsible company with the interviewee's time
