I went through five interview rounds, and I made myself available late in the evening to accommodate different time zones. In the end, I didn't get an offer, even though they had told me I was the front runner. The external recruiter sent a one-line text with no feedback or thanks for my time, which I thought was unprofessional.

The hiring process was pretty straightforward. I first spoke with someone from a temp agency, then had to take a urine drug test. After that, I had an interview with Metagenics. I was able to start my first day within a day or two.

Technical Behavioral

I interviewed with my future boss. He was in a rush and seemed uninterested in me or my background. Whenever I tried to ask a question, he'd interrupt with what he thought was the answer, even if he misunderstood my question. He was unfriendly, rude, and asked poorly phrased technical questions, showing a lack of knowledge in front-end development. He kept mentioning his time constraints. It was the most unpleasant interview I've ever had.

I started with a phone chat, then went in for an in-person meeting with the creative team. After that, I had to do a test where I created a 2-page product sheet for a Metagenics nutritional product. The hiring manager liked my writing and how I understood the product, so she gave me the job. The whole creative team seemed to like me too, thought my portfolio was great, and told the hiring manager to offer me the job.
