I had a phone screening with a really nice, friendly HR person. Then, I had a video interview with another friendly HR person. Finally, I had an in-person interview with an apparently nice Executive Assistant, and the HR person gave me an office and facilities tour. They said I'd hear back the following week, but I never did.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process for the most part felt like a series of conversations and I felt valued as they made it clear that it was about if this position is a good fit for me as much as it is about if I am a good fit for the role. Their communication through the whole process was the best I have had in my whole job search as well. There were some technical questions related to the role but also a bit of getting an idea of who I was and how I work with other people as it was a team setting for this role.

Behavioral Technical

First I chatted with a recruiter from Jefferson Frank who set things up. Then, I had a call with the department head and another data scientist. It was pretty chill, mostly general questions about my background and a project I could talk about. They also asked a semi-technical question about how I'd handle a hypothetical dataset. The second interview was about 5 hours total, broken up, and I met most of the team. We talked a lot about their processes, experiences, preferred tools, and projects. I brought up some negative reviews I'd seen, and leadership gave me really reassuring and honest answers that have totally held up. The technical questions weren't about coding on a whiteboard, but more about my approach and how I solve problems. I was nervous but actually enjoyed it.

I first spoke with a former Study Director over the phone who then passed my info along to the Hiring Manager for an open Study Director role. After that, I was invited to a lunch interview with three Managing Study Directors. I wasn't aware that two additional people besides the Hiring Manager would be present, which was a bit unexpected but not a major issue. Two of them were rather impolite from the outset and seemed to lack basic social graces. I never received any follow-up communication. It was a peculiar experience with people who didn't appear enthusiastic about their work.
