Applied for the Market Specialist role based in Singapore covering the Vietnam market. Heard back from the recruiter about a month after applying, and she set up an initial screen to chat. The pay for the role was much lower than I expected (recruiter said 71,500 SGD + 10% bonus), which was what I earned as a grad at Salesforce years ago. When I shared my expectations, they said the salary was non-negotiable but they could sponsor my visa and that equity was negotiable. I moved on to the next round with a team member whose personality was rock solid. No smile, no interest in being there – I get it’s Meta, but she had a pretty bad attitude and I could sense she wanted to catch me off guard with the “market-related” questions. I didn’t enjoy the process and they don’t give any feedback. The recruiter also didn’t really respect timezone differences and rescheduled or was late more than once. The interview itself isn’t that hard if you research the market you’re applying for and have solid STAR answers. Overall the role is basically a glorified policy position that cleans up stuff online in their backend, but they make it sound like it has big scope and impact – it doesn’t.

The process kicked off with a call from a recruiter. It was about a 45 minute screening to see if you'd be a fit for what they are looking for. After that, I had an initial 45 minute interview with an Engineering manager. There was a long layover period between that and the final round because of a preferred location I wanted to work at. Since that location never had another opening come up, I ended up choosing another location. That’s when I did the loop interview where I had 5 different 45 minute interviews in one day. (You can spread them across days if you want.) These interviews were 2 technical and 3 behavioral. The recruiters are very helpful in prepping you for the interviews and providing a lot of material to review. I would also suggest brushing up on any theory and fundamentals for this role because the technical interviews really dig deep to see how much you know.
