First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Met Council.
Social Services Program Coordinator
The interview process was okay. The interviewer was a bit late and seemed disorganized. I heard back about a month later regarding the outcome.
- Can you explain how your previous experience relates to the requirements of this position?
Data Analyst
I went through several interview rounds, starting with my direct supervisor and going all the way up to the CEO. It was pretty chill and conversational. I had to do a data project and give feedback on it. The whole thing took a few weeks, which they said was pretty quick.
- Why are you interested in this job?
Specialist
4 interviews. There was a phone screening first, then I met with my future supervisor and the department head. After that, I had a meeting with HR and then with an executive. The questions weren't hard, and they focused more on behavioral and background questions than technical ones.
- Why are you interested in this position?
Staffing Specialist
The interview process included an oral exam where everyone was asked the same set of questions. There was also a case study where you had 15 minutes to review a situation, and then met with a new panel to answer questions about what you would do differently. Lastly, there was a selection interview where answers to a different set of questions were asked that were not necessarily asked of others.
- Tell me about your experience with behavioral questions.
- What motivates your interest in working for the council?
- Regarding the case study, what actions would you take differently?
