The interview was professional yet relaxed. I went to the winery and spoke with the manager for about 20 minutes. The manager was really nice and easy to chat with.

Got a super fast and professional response after applying. They scheduled the interview really quickly, which was impressive. At the interview though, they barely asked about my public relations or media background. Most of the questions were about wine knowledge, like different types and tastes. I was a bit taken aback by the wine questions. Still, Messina Hoff seems like a cool place to work.

I applied on their website with my resume, cover letter, and references. A few days later, I had a phone interview, and about a week after that, an in-person interview. After the interview, they asked me to write a short piece about wine within a couple of days. Even though I thought the interview went well and they said they'd contact me within the week, I never heard back.

- The hardest part was a personality aptitude test before the interview. I had to pick the word that was most like me and least like me out of 24 groups of 4 words. It was tough because sometimes none of the words fit, and some words had religious connotations which I'm not comfortable with.

The hiring process was pretty easy. I applied online and then heard back from an HR person about a week later. The interview itself was simple, mostly asking standard questions for a restaurant customer service job. It wasn't a high-pressure interview at all.
