First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Messer Americas.
Technical Sales Engineer
I had a really good experience with the first four interviews, they were straightforward and the interviewers were nice. The last interview, though, was a mess. They gave me the wrong address, so I was a bit late. Then, the interviewer said some stuff about not wanting to work with people from certain cultural backgrounds, which really bothered me as I'm from one of those communities. It felt unprofessional and not inclusive. Because of that last interview, I decided not to continue with the application.

Account Manager
The interview process took a really long time, starting in May with an intake call in early June. The first actual interview wasn't until late June, and then there was a big gap until early August for another interview. More silence followed until the end of August when I got an automated rejection email. It was pretty frustrating to be interviewed twice by the same person as if they'd forgotten about the previous interview. It felt like a total waste of three months, and I wish they'd been more communicative and sped things up. It shouldn't take three months to decide someone isn't a good fit.

Graduate Development Program
The interview process was quite smooth and well-structured. It consisted of three distinct rounds, each designed to assess different aspects of my qualifications and suitability for the role. The first round involved a self-recorded virtual interview, where I was asked to respond to a series of pre-recorded questions within a set time frame. This format allowed me to present my answers thoughtfully and at my own pace. It was a convenient way to kick off the process, as it didn’t require real-time interaction but still provided an opportunity to showcase my skills and experience

When I first applied to Messer, everyone there was very nice. However, after the technical interview, the recruiter ghosted me and would not respond to any of my emails or text messages. I understand that this is a standard, but I did not even get a rejection email or anything. I was just thanking them for the great interview that they had given me. Just felt unprofessional from the guy, Alex, who is the head of recruiting for this position, to ghost people. Have also heard from others about the bad response time for this company.
