First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mesa Laboratories.
Analyst
It was a pretty standard interview with the hiring manager. The questions were what I expected, nothing too tricky. Overall, it was a good conversation and I got a good sense of the company.
- Can you describe your experience with laboratory procedures?
- Can you tell me about your experience with a quality management system?
Sales Manager
It was a really thorough and fair process. I spoke with HR, people in the same role, and higher-ups. They asked a lot of questions about my sales achievements and also about how I handle different situations. Everyone was really engaging to talk to.
- Can you describe a situation where a team member wasn't performing well and what you did about it?
Mechanical Engineer
It was a well organized interview process, although it did take a while to get results. It involved a phone interview and then a video interview. I'm not sure if I would have accepted the job if an offer was made, as the job description wasn't very clear throughout the process.
- Could you describe your welding skills?
- What experience do you have with manufacturing processes?
Buyer
Had two phone interviews, then an onsite tour, and the final in-person interview. They gave a lowball offer after I mentioned my minimum salary expectations in the first interview, which felt like a waste of everyone's time.
- Describe a situation where you were responsible for implementing a process improvement.
