The interview was good. It was in front of multiple people. They asked general questions. You can schedule it at your own time and they send multiple emails and reminders. You should talk about employee benefits and values and dress very well and pick an early time.

My first interview was good, I liked the format, except I couldn't ask my prepared questions. I had 15 minutes to read questions then used a notepad to write my answers. I ended up using this notepad to write my own prepared notes. I was immediately called back for a second interview. This one felt too informal, where I felt pushed to talk about my personal life (relationship and children). Another concern was God being mentioned and talk of them praying for each other. I felt this wasn't okay for an interview process.

This is the slowest process I’ve encountered in a really long time and I’ve worked in government for years. I can’t imagine how hard it is for them to get good employees when they take this long to get through the hiring process…and I work in government HR, so I have at least a general understanding of how most hiring processes should go. It’s just crazy that some of the reviews say it took 6 months to get hired on. My experience was 3 months and I finally declined to continue. I’m not sure if that worked 20 years ago but there’s absolutely no way you can competitively hire at this snails pace ALONG with the low wages government tends to pay. Don’t even get me started on that either - the benefits here aren’t even that great and certainly many private sector jobs are direct competition in the area of benefits these days. Its just all around ridiculous that it takes this long to hire - your pay is bad, your benefits mediocre, and your work life balance - non-existent. Also the amount of interviews you have to go through. It should not take this many rounds especially after making people wait months to hear from you. The whole process was just a giant red flag. Maybe the HR dept needs a massive overhaul.

The interview process was really well-organized. They sent over the interview questions about 30 minutes before we started and gave me a piece of scratch paper to write on. This allowed me to review the questions and decide how I wanted to answer each one. A panel of interviewers asked the questions, with each interviewer taking turns. They seemed really welcoming and interested in my responses, and while there was a time limit, it didn't feel overly strict.
