Project Manager
So there were a few phone screens first, then an in-person interview that was a panel setup. They asked questions in a round-robin style, mostly focusing on my past experience, management approaches, and how I'd deal with different client and customer relationship scenarios.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a client issue during a project?
- Tell me about your typical management style.
- How do you typically handle challenging client situations?
Administrative
Interviews usually last about 30 minutes to an hour. For engineering and design jobs, there are often technical questions and you'll have to look at drawings. The interviews are pretty specific to the job, and many include skills tests. If you're really right for the job, the skills tests and technical questions shouldn't be a big problem.
- What's your process for handling documentation?
Software Engineer
This was a 3-round interview process. It started with a recruiter call, then a technical screen, and finally an onsite interview with senior managers. During the onsite, they asked STAR questions about my work experience and how I handled conflict. One specific question was about solving a conflict.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- Could you share an example of a time you successfully resolved a conflict?
Designer
Submitted an application online and got contacted for an interview about 1-2 weeks later. After the interview, I waited for references to be checked. Received the offer about 1-2 weeks after that. The whole process was quite quick compared to other places.
