First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Merryhill School.
Assistant Principal
I had a quick 15-minute call with the recruiter, it was pretty professional and on time. Next I'm gonna send over my portfolio and any HR related questions I have. I'm waiting to hear back and hoping for either an in-person interview or maybe even an offer.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your salary expectations?
- How would you describe yourself?
Teacher Assistant
I sent in my application online and they called me in for an interview about 3-5 days after. The interview itself wasn't too tough, especially if you've got some experience with kids already. After we chatted and I answered some questions, I got to meet and talk with the teachers who work with the 2-3 year olds and the pre-K kids.
- Can you describe how you'd address a child's behavior that needs changing, and what you'd communicate to their parents?
- Which age group do you find most enjoyable to work with?
Assistant Teacher
I got to my interview on time but they asked me to come back in an hour cuz it wasnt a good time for them. When I came back the interview was super quick. They asked me some stuff about managing a classroom and then just offered me the job right away. I took it but I should have thought more about the interview.
- How do you handle classroom management?
Preschool Teacher
I interviewed with the owner/director, it was a one-on-one meeting. They asked me about my background experience and how I manage a classroom. They also asked about which age group I preferred and why, and when I could be available.
- Can you tell me about your background?
