I was contacted by an external recruiter based in Chicago who has a long-standing relationship with Merrill Gardens. They had a pleasant demeanor throughout our calls and spoke highly of me, which led to setting up an in-person interview at Merrill Gardens' Seattle headquarters. I arrived on time, was dressed appropriately, and the interview exceeded its scheduled time. I felt it went well, and the interview panel appeared engaged. I was informed that I would hear about the next steps within two weeks. However, neither the company nor the recruiter contacted me by the deadline. The recruiter went silent and didn't provide any feedback, despite my repeated attempts to reach them via calls and emails, and this silence continued well past the two-week mark.

I interviewed once in early 2002 but couldn't complete the drug test in another city, so I didn't get the job. Later, in 2009, I reapplied and was accepted. I took the drug test and got the job. The interview process was pretty easy, it was a one-on-one interview. I had previous food service experience and had just moved to Lancaster from Sacramento for another job.

It was casual and to the point. A company that is looking to revolutionize care. Wonderful people, definitely a place I could see myself at for a long time. There was first a phone interview, then a 1:1 with the general manager and other staff, then a phone screening with the HR.
