Applied and got contacted by a recruiter the next day to set up a phone interview with two employees. Then I was invited to an in-person interview a few hours after the phone interview. The in-person interview was a panel interview with seven people and lasted about two hours. It was a very high-pressure, unorganized interview where they often cut me off while answering questions to ask more questions. Interviewers walked in and out of the room during the interview and were looking at their phones/laptops. The interviewers were frankly rude, inappropriate, and they downright lied about what the position was. They seem to want a unicorn candidate at an intern's pay rate. During the interview, they informed me this position was not a full-time position but instead an internship position, which contradicted everything I was told during the phone interview. Very odd.. waste of time..

Behavioral Technical Case

I applied online and then HR emailed me. I had an initial phone chat with HR about my background and salary needs. Later that day, I got an email for a phone interview with a lead analyst. They asked more detailed questions about my resume experience matching the job description. It went well. The next week, HR invited me for an onsite interview. It included technical, behavioral, and case parts. I met with 5 interviewers, who were all really nice and professional. The behavioral part focused on cultural fit, company vision, and values. It seemed like Merkle has a good work environment. The whole process was very smooth, with timely and professional follow-ups from HR at every step. Although I didn't get an offer, I was informed of the final decision quickly.

Behavioral Technical

There were three phone interview rounds. The first was with a recruiter where I was asked behavioral questions. The second was with a director, also asking behavioral questions. The third round was with someone on the team and involved technical questions about SAS, SQL, and Statistics. I wasn't fully ready for the tech phone screening which covered SAS, SQL, and Statistics. It wasn't too hard, and the interviewers were nice. I guess my experience and skills weren't the best fit.
