First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian Services.
Case Manager
It's a casual two-interview process. First, you'll meet two people who want to learn about your background, what you're interested in, and your social work journey. Then, you'll probably meet the team leads for the role you're applying for. They'll get into more specific questions about case management.
- Can you describe the responsibilities of a case manager?
Program Manager
So after I applied, they first called me for a phone screening. Then, they set up an in-person interview at their headquarters in Golden Valley, MN with my future boss and her boss. After that, I had a 1:2 interview with those two, and then later they contacted me for a final interview. The last interview/meeting was actually at the house I would be running, they wanted to show me around and see what I thought of the place.
- Can you tell me about your qualifications?
- Could you share an instance where you went above and beyond as a staff member?
- What experience do you have working with people with disabilities?
Direct Care Staff
The interview process started with a phone interview. After they asked me some questions, I was invited for a face-to-face interview. Following that, there was another interview and then I was offered the position. Be prepared to answer questions; there were a lot of behavioral questions. The staff were really nice and friendly. It was a great experience.
- Can you tell me about your greatest accomplishments and goals?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at Meridian Services?
- How do you demonstrate dependability?
Program Counselor
It was moderately easy. They asked standard questions like 'what experiences have you had with this population'. There was one phone interview, then an interview with a work reqruitor, then the house manager, and then you will eventually meet with the program manager and the residents of the house. Over the phone they asked maybe ten questions and in person they asked maybe around ten to fifteen.
- How do you set boundaries?
