First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian Health Plan.
Software Engineer
I had a quick phone call with the recruiter, and it seemed like a good fit. The in-person interview was mostly technical questions. Although, one interviewer was pretty much useless, and the other was bragging a lot about themselves. I never heard back, but honestly, I don't think I'd want to work there anyway, especially if that bragging person was going to be my trainer. Plus, they don't even bother to call you back, so it's not worth applying again. And you have to pay for your own parking, which is like $20. It's not a lot, but you'd think they'd at least offer free parking or some kind of reimbursement.
- Do you prefer working independently or as part of a team?
Software Engineer
I had two interviews. The first one was with a technical group where I was asked to solve a coding problem. The second interview was with an HR person, and they asked me about my career aspirations for the next three years.
- Can you solve a coding problem using the divide and conquer approach?
- Could you describe the biggest challenge you encountered in a previous project?
- What are your career plans for the next three years?
Applications Developer
A recruiter reached out and set up a phone screen. I had the interview on the scheduled date; it was short, about 15 minutes. They said they'd contact me the next week if my application looked good to the higher-ups.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What do you know regarding the values of Meridian Health Plan?
- Describe a situation where you showed integrity.
