First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian Cooperative.
Senior HR Business Partner
I interviewed with two managers and it went pretty well. But then the follow-up was nonexistent!! They seemed not to be in unison. The whole process had some mixed messaging about the role and next steps, which made it hard to get a clear picture of the position.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Can you answer some typical behavior-based HR questions?
Business Development Manager
The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and I had a first chat with them. After that, I filled out the online application and sent in my resume. They reviewed it and then I got a link for an online test, the CCAT, which had math, logic, and spatial logic parts, plus a personality assessment. The math/logic part was 15 mins timed, and the whole thing took about 20-30 mins, with the initial process taking about 2 hours total.
- Could you introduce yourself and give an overview of your resume?
Accounting Implementation Specialist
A recruiter reached out and I had a phone screen with them. After that, I interviewed with the hiring manager. Then, I did a presentation to a panel of the Hiring manager, Director, and 2 team members. It was 3 interviews and 1 training presentation with 5 people over 2 weeks. They said in the FINAL interview that I was over-qualified and they talked about it before. The team members seemed upset and unwelcoming during the interview. I got asked questions that were discriminatory and illegal EEOC violations. When I asked about job challenges, a team member aggressively responded 'HIRING THE WRONG PEOPLE'.
- About traveling to Rural areas, how do you feel?
- How will you manage traveling to Rural areas and training people who might not want you there?
- Regarding traveling to very rural areas in the Country, how comfortable are you actually?

Next, I interviewed and did a presentation to a panel of the Hiring manager, Director, and 2 team members. So, 3 Interviews and 1 Training Presentation with 5 individuals over 2 weeks. During the FINAL interview, a team member mentioned they reviewed my resume and I was over-qualified. They had already discussed this with the hiring manager before the final interview. The team members seemed unwelcoming, frowning and upset during the Teams interview. I was asked questions that seemed discriminatory and possibly illegal EEOC violations. When I asked about challenges in the position, I was met with aggression and disrespect.
