First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare.
Outpatient Clinician
I sent in my application online and got a call from the recruiter within a few days. He confirmed the job details and salary, and said he'd pass my resume to the hiring manager. The very next day, he called back and set up an in-person interview. It was super fast and organized, but they really made sure they covered everything. The interview itself was really thorough, and it gave me a clear picture of the job and what working here is like. The new hire orientation is amazing too. I've been here almost 2 years now and I absolutely love it!
- I don't remember the exact questions, but I was asked to do a practice patient assessment.
Senior Executive Assistant
The interview process included a typing test, a drug screening, and then the actual interview. The interview itself was pretty laid-back, it felt more like a chat than a formal interview, but still professional. They took the time to answer all my questions about the job, the company, and the company culture.
- What qualities do you believe make a good supervisor?
- Could you share an instance where you successfully managed and resolved a conflict with a client or customer?
Clinician
So first you'll meet with the manager of the program you're looking at. Then you'll do a computer test, which covers typing, DSM-V stuff, and Microsoft Office. If they like you after that, you'll do a background check and drug screening right then and there. After that, they check your references and then make an offer.
- Tell me about a time you handled a clinical scenario.
Clinical Therapist
We first had a phone call, and then I was invited for an in-person interview at the location. It was mostly conversational, lasting over an hour, though some questions were structured. The interviewer, my potential supervisor, was very welcoming and made the whole thing feel easy.
- How do you cope with work burnout?
- What's your approach if a patient becomes angry?
