The interview process included two phone calls and then an in-person meeting. They seemed really keen on what I could bring to their team. First, I spoke with HR, then got a tour of the main hospital. After that, I met the department director who discussed the role and the type of person they were seeking.

I went through 3 interviews and it took 2 months to get rejected. They made it seem like I could have had any of 3 positions, but then rejected me from one because I'm an introvert. The next day, they gave the second position to someone else. Then, they made me feel like I could have had the third position, only to say my background wasn't a good fit, even though they had my resume the whole time. I was really disappointed by the lack of transparency, especially since they expected the opposite from me. There were many red flags from management about poor communication and a dramatic work culture. They were clearly understaffed, as the manager had to come in on her vacation!

I got a call from HR and after a brief chat, she scheduled me to meet with the department director and the chargemaster manager. We had a nice conversation; they were very friendly. My issue was that I wouldn't be available until February because I was covering for someone on maternity leave, and this was November. They said they'd wait until after the holidays to talk again. I had an in-person interview at the hospital with the Director and then with the other Financial Analysts. I was upfront about my work-life balance needs, and they were too. I got an offer from HR that same afternoon. It was a really pleasant experience.
