it was super quick and fast. the interviewees were very supportive and the atmosphere was good. they focused on technical questions, asking about previous experience with donors and similar contexts. everything went perfectly. they gave me enough time to answer and provide examples.

I didn't speak to an HR person initially. Instead, I was taken to a small meeting room where eight different employees, managers, and directors came in one by one to speak with me. After about the sixth person, I felt like I was getting asked the same questions, and I wondered if they were checking if my answers were consistent. One senior analyst noticed I was nervous and ended up asking me about my volunteer experience. Another person chatted with me about their puppy. Following these eight individuals, I was escorted across the hospital to the Department of Medicine to meet with the Medical Director, who also holds titles like Quality and Patient Safety director. She was very friendly and asked only a few questions. Then, they led me back to the first building to meet with another Director who discussed salary negotiations. The whole process took about 3-4 hours and was quite demanding, although there weren't many difficult questions. After that, there was about a month of no contact. Suddenly, I was called back again!

I first went to the open house career fair at mercys. While there I was able to leave my resume for several departments and was asked a few interview questions. In about a week I received phone calls for another interview. I met with the hiring person and she went into detail of what the position entails and the locations. I was also asked general interview questions. I met with her again the next day at the different locations and was introduced to the doctor and managers and was ask several questions from them. I also was given a tour of the department's. Once finished, I was told I would receive a phone call from the HR department. In a few days I received a call and was offered a position

I was contacted by a recruiter and then interviewed with the HR department and the SVP. The style of the interviews varied; some interviewers wanted to go through my resume, others asked behavior-based questions, but most questions were conversational. I'm disappointed with the outcome because a core part of their culture is hospitality, yet there was no follow-up from the recruiter or HR. I was told by several people I'd hear about the next steps, but I haven't. While this is common practice now, Mercy prides itself on being different. I'm glad I found out about their lack of response during the interview process rather than after becoming an employee and being let down by their similarity to many medium-sized companies where you're just a number.
