First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercy College.
Professor
The interview process was casual and started with introductions and a quick overview of the college. We had a relaxed conversation where we talked about my background, skills, and interests. It was informal, so I felt comfortable asking questions about the job and the college's culture.
- How comfortable are you with curriculum development?
Admissions Recruiter
The interview process was absolutely horrendous and felt like a joke. Both of my Skype interviews got rescheduled last minute, literally minutes before they were supposed to happen. Each interview also barely lasted 15 minutes, making the whole process seem really unprofessional. I took time off work for these interviews, but then they had to reschedule.
- What draws you to a career in Admissions?
- What makes you want to work specifically at Mercy College?
- Are you comfortable with traveling to various High Schools to recruit students?
Technical Support
The process is pretty easy and the people interviewing are great. It's a bit slow, but honestly, it's worth the wait. If you're really focused on your work and genuinely want to help the company grow, you'll build trust with your interviewer, which will make things go more smoothly.
- Regarding desktop services and technical difficulties, what is your level of knowledge?
- Do you possess knowledge of both Windows and Mac devices?
- In classroom settings, like with audio and video issues, are you able to resolve technical problems?
