Front End Developer
The whole thing took over 3 weeks. It started with a Github skills test, which was pretty easy. After passing that, I had three in-person interviews: one with the front end lead, another with a producer, and the last one with the front end manager. These interviews mostly focused on how passionate I was about their product. I really am passionate about it, I even used the app a lot and bought/sold stuff to understand it better, plus I gave them ideas to improve it. I guess I couldn't show them enough passion, because they told me I wasn't passionate enough. Honestly, it was frustrating because they could have just told me the real reason if they wanted to reject me. I still like the app and what it stands for, but I've lost respect for the interviewers and their decision-making. They missed out on someone who was genuinely enthusiastic about their product.
- Can you discuss your past projects?
- The Github skill test needs to be completed.
- What's your opinion on the product?
Frontend Developer
First, there was an HR phone call. Then, an online coding test with a 1-hour time limit, focusing on building a site based on requirements. You would work with two other developers on this. So, give it your best to meet their needs. Finally, an interview with the CTO covering some behavioral questions.
- Tell me about some Leetcode easy and medium questions.
- Can you answer some Frontend basic skills questions?
- Could you describe the most difficult bug you have ever solved?
Frontend Engineer
They sent a private challenge via github to complete in 1 week. Took me at least 8 hours to implement their minimum requirements and add a little improvements to the app. Got rejected after 3 days without any reasons.
